SECTION 01200 <br /> MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT <br /> 1.0 GENERAL <br /> A. The total Bid price shall cover all work necessary for the proper and successful completion of <br /> the Contract. All work not specificaliy set forth as a pay item in the Bidder's Bid, but necessary <br /> to meet the requirements of this Contract, shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the <br /> Contractor, and all costs in connection therewith shall be included in the prices Bid. <br /> B. All estimated quantities stipulated in the Bid form are to be used only as a basis for estimating <br /> the probable cost of the work and/or for the purpose of comparing the Bids submitted for the <br /> work. The actual amounts of work completed under unit price items may differ from estimated <br /> quantities. The basis of payment for unit price work will be the actual amount of work <br /> completed. Contractor agrees to make no claim for damages anticipated profits or otherwise <br /> on account of any difference in the amounts of work actually performed, and estimated <br /> amounts therefore. <br /> 1.01 MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC CONTROL AND OTHER INCIDENTALS (BID ITEM NO. 1) <br /> A. Full compensation for all mobilization consisting of preparatory work and operations, including, <br /> but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and <br /> incidentals to the project site, traffic control measures including supplying, maintaining all <br /> traffic signs, portable barricades and delineators required, any required flagging costs, as <br /> necessary to implement traffic control measures will be considered as included in the lump <br /> sum price paid for MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC CONTROL AND OTHER INCIDENTALS and no <br /> separate payment will be made therefore. Attention is directed to Sections 7-1.08, "Public <br /> Convenience," 7-1.09, "Public Safety," 12-3.04, "Portable Delineators," and 12-2.02 "Flagging <br /> Costs,"of the Standard Specifications and Section 1.07, "Access" of these Special Conditions. <br /> The Contractor shall cooperate with local authorities relative to handling traffic through the <br /> area, and shall make his own arrangements relative to keeping the work area clear of parked <br /> vehicles. <br /> B. Full compensation for restoring existing landscape and damaged structures, and other <br /> incidentals related to the completion of this Project shall be included as a lump sum price paid <br /> for MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC CONTROL AND OTHER INCIDENTALS. This work shall <br /> include, but is not limited to: verification and location of existing utilities in a horizontal and <br /> vertical plan, restoration of irrigation, concrete walkways, landscaping, and structures. <br /> Restoration & replacement of existing lawn or other improvements removed or damaged due <br /> to utility trenching and excavation work and due to installation of concrete improvements shall <br /> be to restored or replaced in kind to the satisfaction of the City. <br /> C. Full compensation for performing vertical and horizontal survey work and other incidentals as <br /> performed by a professional surveyor. This work shall include, but is not necessari�y limited <br /> to, staking and laying out, layout verification and necessary adjustments as it relates to <br /> existing field conditions, verification and location of existing utilities in a horizontal and vertical <br /> plan, other detailed survey work, and all other incidentals and associated work required. <br /> 1.02 REPLACE EXISTING LUMINAIRE (BID ITEM NO. 2) <br /> A. The contract unit price paid for each "Replace Existing Luminaire with New Luminaire" shall <br /> include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals. <br /> Work includes, but is not limited to: coordination with servicing utility, removing and salvaging <br /> existing luminaire, delivering salvaged material to the city's Public Works Services Corporation <br /> MEASUREMENT&PAYMENT 01200-1 <br /> EAST BAYSHRORE ROAD STREET LIGHTING PROJECT <br />
