D. District will attend partnership meetings and participate in <br /> information sharing, problem solving, evaluation, and data collection process. <br /> E. District and all school site staff will fully collaborate and assist the <br /> Police Department in any undertakings associated with tactical planning, drills, <br /> joint exercises and training for what is commonly known as "Code Red" or <br /> "Active Shooter" protocols. <br /> F. District will provide adequate program and office space as <br /> requested by the City. <br /> G. District will act as fiscal agent for the partnership. <br /> H. District will oversee and maintain contract agreements. <br /> I. District will identify and communicate training opportunities to City. <br /> J. District will oversee and support evaluation and data collection. <br /> 4. Supplemental Services. District may request City to provide additional <br /> law enforcement services for evening or weekend events such as PTA meetings, Back- <br /> to-School Nights, Open House, athletic or performance events, dances, proms, or other <br /> District-sponsored events. City will use its best efforts to provide the requested services <br /> by the School Resource Officer. District shall compensate City for such supplemental <br /> services, whether the School Resource Officer or a patrol officer provides the services. <br /> 5. Compensation. The School Resource Officer shall be compensated by <br /> the City. District shall compensate City for services provided under Paragraph 2 above <br /> for the sum of$16,000.00 ($8,000.00 per school site). City shall submit an invoice at the <br /> end of the school year by May 31, 2013. Payment shall be made by District in one (1) <br /> payment due on or before June 30, 2013. <br /> 6. Selection and Duties of School Resource Officer. The selection and <br /> duties of the School Resource Officer shall be at the sole discretion of City's Chief of <br /> Police. The Chief of Police is encouraged to solicit input from District as to these issues. <br /> 7. Mutual Indemnification. District will defend, indemnify and hold harmless <br /> City and its officers, agents, employees and volunteers from and against all claims, <br /> damages, losses and expenses including attorney fees arising out of the perFormance of <br /> the above-referenced services, caused in whole or in part by the willful misconduct or <br /> any negligent act or omission of the District, any subcontractor, anyone directly or <br /> indirectly employed by any of them or anyone for whose acts any of them may be liable, <br /> except where caused by the sole negligence or willful misconduct of City. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2013.001/SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AT KENNEDY HOOVER <br /> REV:01-07-13 MLG <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
