6.1.A. - Page 3 <br /> Alison Madden, representing former tenants at Pete's Harbor, expressed congratulations <br /> to the Sequoia Yacht Club for their fantastic program and to City Council for their <br /> support of recreational boating in Redwood City. She wanted to provide updates and <br /> clarity regarding: the Mel's Bowl project not being associated with the Pauls Corporation; <br /> the Building Trades Association not paying for the Marina project; she wants to keep <br /> Docktown; she has been to multiple State Lands Commission meetings and hopes they <br /> will support live aboards at Pete's Harbor; and, the concern regarding the street (that <br /> she expressed at a previous City Council meeting) came from a Public Records Act <br /> request. <br /> Leslie Webster, President of Save Pete's Harbor, said that a lot of residents have <br /> moved, but that there is still strong support for a public marina. She expressed hope that <br /> others will watch the video from last Friday's State Land Commission's meeting that is <br /> available online at http://www.cal-span.orq/. <br /> James Lee, representing Occupy Redwood City, invited the City Council and the <br /> community to several community meetings: Wednesday, February 27th, from 6 to 8 <br /> p.m., at the Community Room in the Downtown Library, regarding affordable housing; <br /> and, on Thursday, February 28th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sequoia High School in the <br /> cafeteria, there will be a community forum on the new jail slated for construction. <br /> James Lee,also spoke on Item 6.1 A (draft City Council meeting minutes for the January <br /> 28, 2013) to clarify by name which corporation speaker Joseph Rosas alluded to for <br /> doing questionable work. He asked if that name, Pauls Corporation, could be included in <br /> the minutes and said the same corporation is intending to build at Pete's Harbor. He also <br /> referenced an article on the San Mateo Journal article. <br /> M/S Seybert/Gee to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. Motion carried with <br /> Council Member Bain abstaining on the minutes for January 28, 2013 since he <br /> was absent on that date, and Council Member Foust absent for the full Consent <br /> Calendar. <br /> 1.
