The pr�posed p�rojcct included: <br /> • A 5.�-acre z�es�id�taal development involving 20 existing paraels <br /> �� Conatruccti..on of a private raadway connecting to exisking private str�ts <br /> � Extension of City utilities to the residentiallots <br /> � Construction,instailaiion, and maiat�ance of retaining walls aacl parking <br /> areas aloag the ncw private roadway(ext�sion of Laurel Way) <br /> � Me�rger of three lots snd aubdivisian into twa lots, one af whicl�would be an <br /> open space lat serving the hiltsrde development <br /> � 1$new residences <br /> Th�City of Redwootl City p�epared a Dr�ft E1R,ia compliance with the California <br /> Ettvironmental Quality Act(CEQA)and the CEQA Guidelines.The gurpose of the EIR is to <br /> inform the deci�ion makers and the gublic of the potential en�ironmental imp�s that may result <br /> fram impiementation of the proposed proj�ct. The Ihai�EIR was r�eased for public review on <br /> February 22,201Q. A 45-day review period was provided,thraugh Apri17,20I0,to allow the <br /> publi�and agencies to comment on the adequacy of the Draft E1R. <br /> The Draft LIR v�as s�n�to the St�te Clearim;�house(State�leazinghouse#2�09412058) far <br /> review by participating State agencies,pursuant ta CEQA Guidelines. A le°�ter was received fram <br /> the Clearinghouse stating tha#the projeet has c�omplied with its review�'ecluirements for dra,ft <br /> environmental documeats under GEQA. <br /> The City received I 1 comment letkezs on the Draft EIR. Commeut�oa the project were also <br /> presented at the Apri16,2010 Planning Comznis�ion public hearing.Public and agency <br /> comments,and the�ity's r�sponses to the oomments,were provide�in the August 20�0 Fxnal <br /> EIR. <br /> The applicant s�bsequent�y withd�r�w th�applicatian.and submitte�a revisad applicatian in <br /> September 2011 to respond to public comments. The project revisions included: <br /> � Fliininating two lots from the project azea and reducing tl�e total project area <br /> to 4.75 acr�es <br /> ����� Re�ucing tl�e number of prapasal residences from 18 to 16 <br /> �� Changing the origix�llY Pro�osed open-space lat to an opeta space easement, <br /> with the same acreage and dimensions as the oriB��Y PI'QIaOgad open space <br /> iDt <br /> i <br />
