6.1.D. - Page 2 <br /> Redwood City's role as a Last Mile project partner is to provide support and assistance <br /> as needed for project planning and implementation including review of project <br /> proposals, agreements, and marketing materials. The Transit District is coordinating <br /> with City staff to locate and prepare car share pod sites, and the Alliance will work with <br /> City staff to conduct outreach to the community. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> The Parties wish to amend the Last Mile MOU in order to: <br /> • clarify that all applicable Federal Transit Administration-related (FTA) <br /> requirements will be met <br /> • clarify funding distribution and audit processes <br /> • clarify the scope of work <br /> • update the project schedule to reflect current status <br /> The First Amendment to the MOU is included as Attachment 1 to this report. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may choose to not authorize the First Amendment to the Last Mile MOU and <br /> direct staff to withdraw from the "Making the Last Mile Connection" Pilot Program. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Redwood City's staff time for the Last Mile pilot project remains unchanged with a <br /> minimum of 250 hours anticipated to implement the project ($2,960 of these staff costs <br /> will be reimbursed). <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> Approval of the First Amendment to the Last Mile MOU is not a project subject to the <br /> California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") or the National Environmental Policy Act <br /> ("NEPA"). <br /> �{,t�a-.�.�.1 ������x.,�" <br /> SUSAN WHEELER <br /> MANAGEMENT ANALYST <br /> G�� <br /> BILL EKERN <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />
