Redwood City General Plan <br /> 6.1.F. - Page 6 2012 Annual Report <br /> Introduction <br /> On October 11, 2010, the City Council of Redwood City adopted a comprehensive revision to <br /> the General Plan. The updated General Plan established new policies, goals, and implementation <br /> programs for the long-term physical development of the community, constituting the blueprint <br /> for how the City will look, how development will occur, and providing a framework for the <br /> provision of City programs and services. It is a response to new State laws and addresses <br /> housing, urban form, circulation, atmosphere and climate, water resources, child care, seniors, <br /> health, historic resources, economic development, safety, and sustainability initiatives in the <br /> City. <br /> This 2012 General Plan Annual Report is intended to meet the reporting requirements of <br /> Government Code 65400(a)(2) and be consistent with the General Plan Annual Progress Report <br /> Guidance provided by the Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR). This report <br /> assesses progress from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. Additionally, the status of <br /> major projects to date is provided for informational purposes only, the updates for which will be <br /> provided in the next reporting cycle. <br /> Date of Presentation and Acceptance by Local Legislative Body <br /> This 2012 General Plan Annual Report was reviewed by the Planning Commission on April 2, <br /> 2013, and reviewed by the City Council on April 22, 2013. <br /> Completed General Plan Amendments to Date <br /> esolution 15060: Adoption On October 11, 2010, the City Council adopted a General Pla <br /> of the New General Plan Amendment to approve a comprehensive update to the Redwoo <br /> City General Plan. <br /> esolution 15088: Amend the On January 24, 2011, the City Council adopted a General Pla <br /> General Plan Land Use Map Amendment related to adoption of the Downtown Precise Pla <br /> and Mixed Use -Downtown (DTPP). The DTPP establishes a contemporary vision and set <br /> General Plan land use forth the specific land use parameters, development standards, <br /> designation definition and architectural guidelines, and urban design criteria in order to <br /> allowable intensity. create a unique and vibrant downtown. The General Pla <br /> Amendment was required to be consistent with the boundaries o <br /> he Precise Plan, and accordingly revised the land use designatio <br /> of certain properties generally located immediately outside an <br /> south of the DTPP area from "Mixed Use - Downtown" to <br /> "Residential - High Density" (6.37 acres) and "Residential - <br /> edium Density" (0.49 acres) and "Hospital" (0.68 acres).
