6.1.A. - Page 2 <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> Amendment No. 2 will expand Ms. Levin's scope of work to include: <br /> • Facilitating a planning process that results in a SRTS strategic plan <br /> • Interfacing with the City on the implementation of walking audits at six schools <br /> • Writing grants to fund non-infrastructure elements of the SRTS program and <br /> assisting the City and County in writing infrastructure grants <br /> • Administering and / or directing the administration of the existing SRTS non- <br /> infrastructure grant scope of work for which RWC 2020 is responsible. <br /> Implementation of the Federal Non-Infrastructure Safe Routes to School Grant requires <br /> knowledge, expertise and capacity not present within RWC 2020's staff. The consultant <br /> is well-qualified to provide the needed leadership and administration of the Safe Routes <br /> to School Program and to maximize use of existing resources and potentially increase <br /> resources to support walking and biking to school. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may elect not to authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The cost of this contract amendment shall not to exceed $46,000. A portion of the <br /> Federal Non-Infrastructure Safe Routes to School Grant will be used to fund the new <br /> scope of work.
