SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE SITE <br /> 1. HOURS OF WORK <br /> A. Working hours shall be from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday and <br /> excluding all City Holidays. <br /> II. PLANS <br /> A. Those plans entitled 2013 Spot Reconstruction Project <br /> B. The City's Standard Specifications and Details. <br /> C. State of California Department of Transportation, "Standard Specifications" and <br /> "Standard Plans", latest edition, are hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> III. TIME OF COMPLETION, INSURANCE & BONDS <br /> A. Time of completion shall be ten (10) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. <br /> B. Construction shall be completed no later than Monday May 20, 2013. <br /> C. The contractor shall submit a certificate of insurance showing comprehensive <br /> workers' compensation and general liability insurance coverage in the amount of <br /> $1,000,000. Such certificate shall also name the City of Redwood City, its <br /> Council, Boards, Commissions, Officers, Agents and employees as additional <br /> insured on the policy as shown in paragraph 7 of the "Agreement". <br /> D. The contractor must post bonds; one to guarantee performance of the proposed <br /> construction in accordance with the plans and specifications, and the other to <br /> guarantee payment of labor and materials. Both bonds shall be in an amount of <br /> 100% of the contract price and shall be notarized and a Power of Attorney shall <br /> be included for the person signing on behalf of the surety (see Standard Bond <br /> Attachments). Other bond forms may be used, subject to approval prior to <br /> contract execution. <br /> IV. DAMAGE <br /> A. Damage to existing structures, facilities, utilities, trees, pavements, or other <br /> property caused by the Contractor shall be restored to original condition at the <br /> Contractor's expense, prior to final inspection and acceptance. <br /> V. GENERAL TRAFFIC CONTROL, SAFETY, &ACCESS <br /> A. The contractor agrees to assume sole and complete responsibility for job site <br /> conditions during the course of construction of this project, including safety of all <br /> persons and property. <br /> B. Access to residents and businesses shall be provided at all times. <br /> VI. DAMAGES FOR DELAYS <br /> 13 <br />
