EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Role of Project Manager <br />The Project Manager (Consultant) will be responsible for managing the Plans, <br />Specifications, and Estimate and Right of Way (PS&E & R/W) phase of the US Route <br />101/SR 84 Interchange Reconstruction Project (the `Project') for the City. Consultant <br />will be responsible for Project oversight, PS&E & R/W consultant contracts <br />administration, coordination with Caltrans, the San Mateo County Transportation <br />Authority (TA), impacted utilities, and community, and reporting within and for City <br />according to established protocols. For the purposes of this Scope of Services, the work <br />will be completed when Consultant has completed all tasks described herein and the <br />PS&E and R/W consultants have completed all the tasks set forth in their respective <br />contracts. <br />Scope of Work <br />Consultant will conduct the following tasks on a time and expenses basis up to the <br />estimated budget established in Fee below. Consultant is expected to supply the office, <br />computer, or other equipment to support the successful completion of this work. <br />1. Project Management <br />Consultant will administer the PS&E and R/W consultant contracts, including, but not <br />limited to: monitoring progress, submittals, and schedule; processing invoices; and <br />managing additional services and completing project close out. Consultant will <br />coordinate and meet with City staff and City Council (ad hoc subcommittee and entire <br />Council), Caltrans, the TA, and community at large regarding Project activities. <br />Consultant will provide action minutes for coordination meetings (not including meetings <br />led by the design consultant). Consultant will submit project updates, quarterly invoices, <br />and other tasks as required by the TA for the Highway Program grants. <br />Consultant will support City efforts to pursue project funding by coordinating with City <br />staff and officials and funding agencies and assisting in developing funding applications <br />and supportive documents. Consultant will assist the City in preparing documents <br />required for coordination with permitting and approval agencies including the County, <br />Caltrans, and UPRR. <br />Consultant will coordinate the contract execution and commencement activities for the <br />PS&E consultant contract. Consultant will engage and negotiate a contract for City <br />Council approval for the R/W support consultant with a certified agency or consultant. <br />Consultant will work with the designated Caltrans Project Manager to confirm Project <br />Development Team (PDT) membership and activities and review and coordinate scope <br />and schedule. <br />Project files will be maintained by Consultant.
