4.13.2.1 Population and Housing Impacts
Implementation of the proposed project would result in the construction of 45 new senior care
dwelling units in the City of Redwood City. The increase in housing would slightly increase the
residential population of Redwood City above current levels (approximately 65 residents). The
increase, however, represents a less than one percent increase in the total City population and is not
considered to be substantial. Because the future residents of the project are no longer counted as
employed residents and operation of the project will result in new jobs in Redwood City, the project
will have no measurable benefit to the jobs/housing imbalance. This in and of itself is not a
significant impact.
The project would not displace a substantial number of houses or persons and would not require
replacement housing to be constructed.
Implementation of the proposed project would have a less than significant impact on population and
housing in Redwood City. (Less Than Significant Impact)
4.13.3 Conclusion
Implementation of the proposed project would have no impact on population and housing.
