6.1.D. - Page 2
The agreement between the City, the County and the District is interdependent. If any
one of the partners declines to contribute, then the remaining parties could withdraw
their contributions. At this time, staff is requesting that Council approve the agreement
for fiscal year 2013-2014. All partners have agreed to continue their contributions for the
upcoming year to continue their long standing investment in the academic success of
Redwood City's youth.
ALTERNATIVES
Council may elect not to authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT
The City's contribution of $100,000 is included in the FY 2013-2014 proposed budget,
subject to Council adoption. The second year of funding will be negotiated during
preparation of the City's 2014-2015 budget and reflected in the form of an amendment
to this contract with the Redwood City School District.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines, section
15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable physical
change in the environment.
''

V
JANA KISER
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

- ,if -
.= .  _ -l}-- —_
s
. 3
AUDREY RAMBERG
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER

ROBERT B.
