J4iNT EXERCISE UF PC�WERS AGREEMENT <br /> SOUTN BAYSIDE SYSTEM AUTHORiTY <br /> Suppiemental Agreement VII <br /> THtS AGREEMENT, da#ed for convenience as of December 12, 2013 by <br /> and between the C(T�' 4F BELM�NT {"Belmont"j, a genera! law City; the ClTY <br /> t7F REDWOOD CITY {'Redwoad City"}, a chartered City, the CITY flF SAN <br /> CARLOS ("San Carlos"), a general iaw City, and WEST BAY SANITARY <br /> D�STRICT ("West Bay"; €ormeriy named the Menlo Park Sanitary D�strict}, a <br /> sanitary district, each duly organized and existing in the �ounty of San Mateo, <br /> State of California, under the Constitution and laws af the State (coliectively: <br /> "Agencies"); <br /> WITNESSETN: <br /> WHEREAS, the South Bayside System Autharity was established by Jaint <br /> exercise of Powers Agreement dated November 13, 1976, entitJed "Joint <br /> Exercise of Powers Agreement - South Bayside Systern Authority"" (°'Agreement"}; <br /> ar�d <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement has heretofore been arnended by six(6} <br /> Supplemental Agreements dated far convenience as of June 8, 1977, June 'f, 1983, <br /> April 26, 1984, September 1$, 1985, March 13, 20U8 and March 8, 2012 <br /> respectively; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1.7 of#he Agreement defines "AutE�ority;" and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2.2 vf the A�reement establishes the Auti�ority by the <br /> name of"South Bayside System Authority;" and <br /> WHEREAS, Sectian 2.4 of the Agreement refers to the Commission of the <br /> Authority as "Camrnission of South Bayside System Authori#y;" and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to change the name of the Authority <br /> fo "Silicon Valfey Clean Water," thereby requiring amendments to Sectians 1.7, <br /> 2.2 and 2.4 of the Agreement; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as foilows: <br /> 1. Section 1.7 af the Agreement is hereby amended to read as f�llows: <br /> "Section 1.7.
