"Treasurer". "Treasurer" means the <br />City Treasurer of Redwood city, designated as treasurer of <br />the Authority in Section 3.2. <br /> ARTICLE II - GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />Section 2.1. Purpose. This Agreement is made <br />pursuant to the Act providing for the joint exercise of powers <br />common to the Agencies. The purpose of this Agreement is to <br />provide for the joint exercise of powers to manage, operate <br />and maintain the 1969 facilities and to implement the <br />financing, acquiring and constructing of Stage 1 of the <br />Project and thereafter to manage, operate and maintain the <br />Joint Facilities, all for the transmission, treatment and <br />disposal of wastewater. and in connection with the foregoing <br />to apply for and receive grants and loans pursuant to the <br />clean water grant program and, if necessary, to issue and <br />repay revenue bonds of the Authority pursuant to the Bond Law <br />or the Act. Each of the Agencies is authorized to exercise <br />all such powers (except the power to issue and repay revenue <br />bonds of the Authority) pursuant to its organic law and the <br />Authority is authorized to issue and provide for the repay- <br />ment of revenue bonds pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />54307.1 of the Bond Law and may hereafter be authorized to <br />issue and provide for the issuance and repayment of revenue <br />bonds pursuant to the Act. <br /> a <br /> 1005031 <br />
