Councilman Henderson for discussion on her views of this Official Statement. <br />(Memo 5/10/66) <br />Progress Report, GID 1-65, 2-65, 3-65. <br />City Manager depicted from illustrated chart work being done under these improve- <br />ment districts on follows: <br />Project Unit SD -1, Bay Road Storm Drain System well along in construction also noting <br />County contributing $245,000 to this project. <br />SD -2, Redwood Creek -Marshall Downstream project, advertised for construction, bids <br />being received on May 1.1., 1966. <br />Project SD -4, Redwood Creek -Middlefield to El Camino Real, portion of original project <br />unit between El Camino Real and Valota Road being removed from SD -4, and included with <br />project unit SD -11, remainder of project being involved with unique right-of-way <br />considerations, and work agreed to being postponed until 1967. <br />Project Unit SD -5, Bradford Street Pump Station System, included with SD -2, and to <br />provide for forcing water gathering in low lying areas, particularly in vicinity <br />of County Government Center. <br />Project SD -11, Redwood Creek -E1 Camino Real to Virginia, work in progress in pulling <br />toorether surveys and other:• engineering work necessary. <br />Project SD -12, Jefferson Branch -Jefferson to Upton, surveys completed and slight <br />modifications made. <br />Project Unit W -i, Redwood Avenue area water system improvements (formerly designated <br />as "Carlos Redwood Main") project expanded to include several water mains in the <br />Redwood Avenue area, and Carlos -Woodside main removed and to be included in future <br />project unit, surveys having been completed and topography being plotted. <br />Project Unit W-2 Bay Road Supply Main; Finger Avenue Water Main; Lathrop Street <br />Water main, field surveys being essentially completed and reporting difficulty <br />being experienced in locating Friendly Acres Water Company facilities. <br />Project Unit I%-7, Edgewood-Wilmington System, engineering on Lhis project unit <br />being held up until such time as definite decisions and commitments are made regarding <br />wafter supply to the proposed San Mateo Junior College. <br />Project Unit SS -2 Maple -Redwood Trunk Sewer (formerly Chestnut Redwood Trunk) plans <br />90% completed and work starting on preparation of specifications. <br />Project Unit SS -5 Extended Outfall, no additional. work having been done until County- <br />wide study more clearly resolved. Failing a County -wide project, City may be forced <br />to take one of these alternate solutions to provide for extension of long outfall to <br />deep waters. <br />Project Unit SS -12, Sewage Pumping Plant, being currently studied as to scope, larger <br />pumping station being contemplated and made available in event a County -wide program <br />is included within proposed Redwood Shores plan. <br />City Manager expressed appreciation of the excellent work being done by Mr. Adamson <br />and Staff in preparation of plans and specifications, and legal descriptions prepared <br />which makes acquisition program much easier. Be also advised work running well ahead <br />of schedule. <br />
