Mayor Herkne.2 stated Mr. Roberts, President of Ampex Corporation, interested in <br />drainage in area of their development and if work being done will alleviate their <br />flooding problems. City Manager stated projects when completed will relieve the <br />flooding situation in this area for all time. <br />Councilman Bury questioned corrective measures requested by Water Pollution Dis- <br />trict, and was advised by City Manager report not due until January of 1967, pending <br />'outcome of County study, and that corrective action now would be waste of money <br />pending outcome of this study, but that funds are being accumulated and held in <br />Budget this year in order action on corrective measures could be taken when <br />necessary. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to accept Staff report on General Improvement Districts <br />Nos. 1-65, 2-65, and 3-65, as presented, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #66-100) <br />Paul Tessendorff, 45 Claremont, asked if Middlefield - <br />El Camino creek is to be a covered channel. <br />City Manager advised this was to be an open gunited channel, and of the unsuccess- <br />ful attempt made to get property owners in area to work out a covering job on this <br />portion, as property owners would have to pay difference of costs. City Attorney <br />advised Council where boxing of culvert would result in benefit to property <br />owner, it was not possible for City to use additional funds for this type of <br />construction. <br />Paul Tessendorff questioned work to be done in <br />Cordilleras Creek area. <br />City Manager advised portion of creek in San Carlos and portions in Redwood City <br />and it had not been possible up to this time to work out a joint participation <br />agreement. Councilman Petersen questioned improvement to be made in this area as <br />included in the bond issue, and was advised of the improvement to be made in creek <br />at E1 Camino which would improve flow and alleviate flooding for the area. <br />Councilman Henderson asked that Staff prepare to brief Council on agreement between <br />Leslie and City at next Study meeting next week prior to sale of bonds on May <br />19th. (Memo 5/10/66) <br />Councilman Keckley asked for Council briefing on County's sewage study, and was <br />advised by City Manager a copy of the next interim report would be presented <br />to Council. (Memo 5/10/66) <br />Councilman Rosselli, Chairman of Legislative Committee, concerning League of California <br />Cities communication re "loss of Federal Aid Revenues to Highways" stated a committee <br />meeting had not been called but he had discussed this matter with City Attorney <br />and a resolution had been prepared requesting restoration of equivalent Federal Aid <br />to highways because of this loss. He also stated in following along similar lines, <br />that he had already indicated to Assemblyman Britschgi the need for allocating more <br />State funds for widening of Woodside Road. He reported that a meeting had been <br />arranged to discuss this subject, in hope more funds will become available for State <br />Highways as a result of monies taken from San Francisco. <br />
