Councilman Henderson moved. that Council support recommendations made by Councilman <br />Rosselli_ on behalf. of Post office Committee, seconded by Councilman Bury and carried. <br />(MINUTE ORDER #66-1.05) <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1243 APPROPRIATING TOTAL. SUI41 OF $41,200 <br />from UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE BUDGET RESERVE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO PROVIDE FOR <br />PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND PURCHASE: OF MATERIALS, SUPPLIES AND SERVICES FOR DESTC'NATFD <br />DEPARTMENTS, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Keckley moved that Planning; Commissioner Harold Hjertberg be appointed as <br />Planning Commission's representattvn on the County Regional Planning Commission, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. (MINUTE ORDER ;#66-106) <br />City Manager advised of the resolution proposed requesting supplemental $60,000 r-n- <br />st .ruction loan from the Division. of Small Craft Harbors. City Manager furthor <br />stated this action will permit Staff to appear before Division of Small Craft <br />Harbors in Berkley on May 23rd to justify this loan. Hn azso reported a pvApo sq l <br />Kid been received from Texaco Cimpany for a fuel concession at the Port and would <br />be reported to Council in full when ready. <br />he stated further .100 per foot berthing rate not adopted by this resolution, <br />since it will not be necessary to take such action until loan approved, nithouvh <br />resolution has been prepared and ready for adoption setting rate change for August <br />1, 1966, in view of number of boat owners having paid in advance. Councilman ?fury <br />moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5027 AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />DIVISION OF SMALL CRAFT HARBORS, FOR A LOAN IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000 FOR DEVELOP- <br />MENT NT OF REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL MARINA, REPAYMENT TO BE M[,,,DE SOLELY FROM GROSS <br />REVENUES OF SUCH MARINA, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll. ca:i 1 <br />vote. <br />Councilman Henderson asked that resolution effecting berth rate increase be on <br />next week's Council Agenda, copy of resolution to be sent to Council, and Sequoia. <br />Yacht Club notified. (Memo 5/10;66) <br />Farm Hill Boulevard Extension Report. City Manager stated this project has been the <br />subject of numerous meetings, but now at Staff level has been resolved to a point <br />where a tentative participation agreement for construction of extension of Farm Hill <br />Boulevard to serve Canada College in Redwood City -Woodside area can be presented. <br />rr�.Torking .,,,.ith various entities concerned with this college and extension of Farm <br />hill Boulevard, City of Redwood '"i.ty, County, Junior College, High School, Challenge <br />Development Company; and Oddstad ;state, an attempt was made to put together a <br />participation agreement to provide for construction without necessity of going to <br />assessment district proceedings, which would inevitably cost more not only in money, <br />but time also. <br />He stated at Staff level figures for participation in construction were checked out <br />as follows: City of Redwood City -$70,000; County -$0,000; College -$175,000; High <br />School -$11.9,700; Challenge Development Company -$'73,300; Oddstad-$10,500, making a <br />total of $504,500. He reported City's funding had been budgeted in sale tax and gas <br />tax funds, and that a verbal commitment for County participation in this project ha.:: <br />
