Discussion held on supplemental loan from Division of Small Craft Harbors and also
<br />increase of berth rates for boats. Councilman Petersen discussed other possible
<br />services which might be rendered, such .as electrical services, and also increase
<br />revenues. Councilmen Bury recommended suggestions made be referred to Marina
<br />Committee for discussion.
<br />Discussion held on request of John Brooke, Inc., for going out of business sale
<br />permit. Councilman Rosselli stated he concurred with Staff recommendation for
<br />thirty day sale period. Councilman Petersen suggested offering aid, if any
<br />possible, in order to keep this firm in business. fiction deferred to regular
<br />meeting.
<br />Councilman Rosselli stated he had heard the County Election Department was being
<br />considered for removal from Redwood City, which he felt should be strongly
<br />protested. He recommended Mayor Herkner meet with Supervisor Werder to discuss
<br />this matter.

<br />was noted absent. Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City
<br />Attorney Richard E. Gardella, Assistant City Manager. Henry V. Burget, Police
<br />Captain George W. Bold (Police Chief William Faul.stich entered meeting at 9:00
<br />p.m.) Fire Chief J. T,. Lodi, Deputy City Engineer Mel Moen, Planning Director Ken
<br />Schroeter, Zoning Coordinator William Shackelford, Recreation Director Alfred

<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Monthly Study Meeting
<br />of May 9, 1966, as mailed, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried.
<br />Presentation made by Mayer Herkner, on behalf of the Council, of Certificate denoting
<br />Award of Progress from the American Water Works Association to Management and
<br />Employees of the Redwood City Water Dena.rtment in recognition of an improved safety
<br />record in the water works industrT. Wpter Superintendent accepted certificate and
<br />explained how certi.fi-c^te had been earnad by employees in Water Department by
<br />following safe working nroctices .

<br />and recommendation submitted, to continue this public hearing and refer this matter
<br />to the Council Sinn Committee.

<br />that he hod no objections to this item being
<br />continued, and .requested he be allowed to meet
<br />with the Sign Committee.
<br />City Manager assured Mr. Demergi..?n he would be notified of the Committee meeting.
