Communication read from Edgewood Hills Tnve^tment Co., <br />dated January 14, 1966, formally reque st i nq that City undertake all necessary steps <br />to anney t"cir parcel of property commonly known as Edgewood Hills consisting of <br />approximately 250 acres (together with necessary contiguous land) to the Cite of <br />Redwood City, and for as early and expeditious action on their .request as mi ht be <br />poacible . <br />Mayor Rosselli asked whether title to property had been cleared of the bankruptcy <br />proceedi_nEa. <br />City Attorney advised he had discussed this with the property owners who had indicated <br />bankruptcy reported was of a reorgani_zational type rather than commercial type and did <br />not effect annexation proceeding proposed. Mayor T'osselli asked whether property <br />owners had been notified of Council's policy of zoning property prior to annexation <br />and .aac advised by City Manager he had advised property owners through Herbert Frahm, <br />coDsulting engineer, of requirements which would be considered necessary, including <br />incta.7lation of necessary utilities. <br />Herbert Frahm, Engineer, stated he had been retained Q <br />Bernard Lippman and Richard Byrd and had been asked no <br />proceed with annexation procedures for this property <br />as municipal service; are vital to this price of property, <br />and requested Council_ directions as to procedures on their <br />part. <br />Mr. Frahm also quoted letter from property owners, i.ndicatinj <br />their willingness to have property zoned prior to annexation, <br />although not yet prepared to state what zoning thought most <br />applicable to property but propose to work with Staff. He <br />stated, however, that property owners were specifically <br />interested in R-1 zoning but unable to make further commit- <br />ment at this time. <br />Council questioned whether surroun_ti.nE property owners had been contacted and advised <br />of this proposal., and was adv.i_zed by City :an _or that he will contact various groups <br />
