Terrence D. Meagher, 237 Oakview Dr., San Carlos urging <br />support of the report as written. <br />Ralph A. Nobles, 3720 Country Club Drive, Redwood City, <br />recommending acceptance of report. <br />Council for Governmental Responsibility, 2995 Summit Dr., <br />Hillsborough, urging approval of report. <br />Marian Lockwood, 1043 Sonoma Ave., ?Menlo Park, urging <br />acceptance of report. <br />Redwood Cit- Civic Association urging approval of report. <br />City Attorney felt it should be noted that Redwood City was the original City to <br />protest on bay -fill and take action. Councilman Royer recommended report be <br />accepted by Council with one amendment he had noted. <br />Councilman Granger moved to accept recommendation as presented by Bay -Front <br />Committee, with exception and amendment as noted for submission to County <br />Regional. Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />( MINUTE ORDER #66-4-() <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4928 :UTHORTZING AND DIRECTING <br />ISSUANCE OF REPLACEMENT BONDS BY THE REDWOOD CITY TREASURER. Councilman Granger <br />asi�,ed if this was approved by the City Attorney and requestion such statement <br />be placed in the Resolution if it was not contained. City Attorney stated it <br />was approved by him and would be stated in the resolution. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call vote, Councilman <br />Herkner being noted absent. <br />Acceptance of Shepard May Improvements. City Attorney stated he had advised con- <br />tinuance of this matter until he could check legal suit which had been filed, <br />involving construction of improvements and if improvements now accepted by Coun- <br />cil he would recommend following be added to the usual conditions of acceptance: <br />"This acceptance shall. not operate to release the contractor <br />or his surety from his obligations to protect, defend and hold <br />the City harmless from any loss arising out of the lawsuit filed <br />by Robert w. and Selma Brooks and this acceptance shall not be <br />effective except on receipt of written confirmation of this <br />obligation from the contractor and his attorney." <br />Councilman Royer moved to accept Shepard Way and Vicinity Improvements subject to <br />usual guarantees and added condition as submitted by City Attorney, seconded by <br />Councilman Weymouth and carried. (MINUTE ORDER ;t66-48) <br />Councilman Royer stated he would abstain from action on the following item because of <br />business interests. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4929 ACKNOT,'LEDGING THE RECEIPT <br />OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY <br />DESIGNATED "VISTA DRIVE ANNEXATION" AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF; AND, <br />APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION. <br />
