CJYt!OOD CITY, PERTAINING TO MARQUEE SIGNS, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried <br />on .roll call vote, Councilman Herkner being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.43 REPEALING SECTION 30.2 OF, AND <br />ADDING SECTIONS 30.2.1, 30.2.2, 30.2.3 AND 30.2.4 TO, ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD <br />CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, RELATING TO RE(UIRED PARKING SPACES, seconded by Councilman <br />Bury and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Herkner being noted absent. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1234 APPROPRIATING $14,750 FROM <br />UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF SALES TAX CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND TO PROVIDE FOR ACrUISITION <br />OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR PARK PURPOSES, seconded by Councilman Petersen and <br />carried on roll call vote, Councilman Herkner being noted absent. <br />CLAIMS: Nos. 55,261 through 55,473, totalling $1,242,641.40, were approved on motion <br />of Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. City Clerk stated <br />sum of $933,790 included in this total figure was for bank transfers and investments. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Notification from Police Chief of reimbursement of $2,877.82 from California Peace <br />Officers Training Fund, representing one-half of cost of training one sergeant <br />and eight patrolmen during year 1965. <br />Copies of communications directed to Council from Redwood City Civic Association <br />which had been written to City Manager concerning their stand on proposed college <br />site in Redwood Shores and stating their position on not revealing their member- <br />ship roster. <br />Mayor Rosselli asked that a progress report be made to Council on March 7th on <br />possibility of development of a Master Plan for water system in the Friendly Acres <br />area. City Manager advised draft had been worked out by the dilater Superintendent <br />and forwarded to Mr. Paul Adamson for his review and should be ready for a report <br />shortly. (Memo 2/23/66) <br />Councilman Bury commented on death of Admiral Nimitz, one of great heroes of World <br />War II, and of additional activities in which he was greatly concerned, such as <br />conservation of Bay and its use for maximum water way and recreation, and suggested <br />Council adjourn commemorating his memory. Councilman Bury moved to adjourn by <br />adopting RESOLUTION NO. 4932 COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF ADMIRAL NIMTTZ, seconded <br />by Councilman Petersen and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Herkner being <br />noted absent.
