Councilman Petersen moved to introduce Ordinance appropriat:inr; $98,933.30 from moneys deposited in special deposits fund to provide for construction of public improvements and performing other overnrnental functions in connection with Kaiser Hospital site. Councilman Bury reviewed statements made previously about City Staff participating in some construction or relocation work so as to reduce City's contribution in cash. City Manager stated his awareness of this commitment but stated use of City Staff not possible in this first phase of relocation of sewer 1_ne, but assured him if any way possible to contribute in this manner, City most certainly intended to do SO. Motion seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4942 BEING RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY RESERVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 4867 FOR PUBLIC UTTLTTY FACILITIES (Sets public hearing; March 28, 1866) This easement is in Brad- ford Street and was retained after abandonment of the street, pending relocation of the utilities. Motion seconded by Councilman Bury and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Granger being noted absent. Councilman Herkner moved to adopt RESOLUTION N0. 4943 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICA- TIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MAPLE STREET SEWER (KAISER HOSPITAL) VETERANS BLVD. AND MAPLE STREET, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Granger being noted absent. Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4944 GRANTING POLE LINE RIGHT OF WAY TO PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY. City Attorney .reported granting of these rights of way was according to conditions required by the Use Permit previously granted. Motion seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Granger being noted absent. Councilman Royer moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1236 ADDING ARTICLE VTT (COMMENCING AT SECTION 30.110) TO CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ESTABLISHING REQUTREMF.NTS FOR PRELIMINARY SOIL REPORTS ON AND SOIL INVESTIGATIONS OF PROPOSED SUBDIVISIONS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. City Attorney stated this had been held over at request of Peninsula Contractors Association for their review and that he had been notified this day there was no disagreement with proposed ordinance.
