E. - Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING CONCERNING <br /> EXCLUSION AND ADDITION OF TERRITORY BY MODIFYING THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE MIDDLEFIELD ROAD UNDERGROUND <br /> UTILITIES DISTRICT 2011-1 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City is authorized to form an <br /> Underground Utility District after holding a public hearing in accordance with the <br /> provisions of Chapter 11, Article 2 of the Redwood City Code, and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 6, 2012, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> adopted Ordinance No. 2376 establishing the Middlefield Road Underground Utility <br /> District 2011-1 (MUUD) to remove existing overhead utility lines and other <br /> appurtenances and place said utility lines and other appurtenances underground on <br /> Middlefield Road between Main Street and MacArthur Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City now proposes to modify the boundaries of the MUUD <br /> to exclude certain territory and include additional territory; and <br /> WHEREAS, service pedestals, transformers, utility boxes, support poles with <br /> anchors, and any other facilities that cannot be undergrounded will remain above <br /> ground within the MUUD, and <br /> WHEREAS, PG&E will be the lead for the panel service conversions and will pay <br /> the costs for the panel conversions within the proposed District. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> THAT this City Council will hold a public hearing to determine whether the public <br /> necessity, health, safety or welfare require the exclusion of certain territory and <br /> inclusion of additional territory by modifying the boundaries of the MUUD, said modified <br /> boundaries of the MUUC being shown on the certain legal description and boundary <br /> map entitled "Revised Middlefield Road Underground Utility District 2011-1" in Exhibit <br /> "A" and described in Exhibit "B", said Exhibit "A" and "B" being attached hereto. <br /> Said Public Hearing will be held at 7p.m., August 26, 2013, City Council Chambers, <br /> 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Community Development Director is <br /> directed to notify all property owners within the area proposed to be included or <br /> excluded from the MUUD and all utility companies which will be affected and provide <br /> ATTY/RES0.2887 / MIDDLEFIELD UUD BOUNDARY REVISIONS <br /> REV:07/11 /13 <br />
