Proiect Location <br /> The City of Redwood City is located on the San Francisco Peninsula in the Bay Area <br /> region of California, approximately 30 miles south of San Francisco. The Downtown <br /> Precise Plan Area (DTPP Area) consists of approximately one hundred eighty-three (183) <br /> acres within the City's historic center and is general bounded on the north by Veteran's <br /> Boulevard, on the east by Maple Street and the western edge of the Kaiser Permanente <br /> Hospital Campus, to the southwest by properties located southwesterly of El Camino <br /> Real, and to the northwest by Brewster Avenue. The Redwood Towers project site <br /> (proj ect site) is located at 950 Middlefield Road in Downtown Redwood City, adj acent to <br /> the Redwood City Caltrain station and SamTrans transit center, and appro�mately three- <br /> quarters mile south of US 101. The 2.30-acre site encompasses the entire block bounded <br /> by Middlefield Road/Winslow Street on the north and west, Jefferson Avenue on the east, <br /> and the Pennsylvania Avenue right-of-way/Caltrain railroad tracks (referred to <br /> collectively as the "Caltrain railroad tracks" from here forward) on the south. The <br /> Sequoia Station shopping center is across the Caltrain tracks, the Redwood City Main <br /> Library and parking lot are across Jefferson, and City Hall is across the <br /> Middlefield/Jefferson intersection from the project site. <br /> The proj ect site is near the center of the Downtown Precise Plan (DTPP) area, within the <br /> DTPP Entertainment District. Redwood City's primary entertainment area is across <br /> Middlefield Road from the site; this area includes the AMC theatres, the Fox Theatre, <br /> retail shops, restaurants, and Courthouse Square. <br /> 5.
