He stated that staff is working with the Police Department to <br /> identify the costs of using Community Service Officers (CSO) to support park <br /> enforcement on a trial basis. <br /> -Bird Bath Project <br /> Commissioner Swope announced that more than 100 submittals were <br /> received for the Bird Bath Project and the sub-committee will recommend <br /> three finalists and two alternates to the Civic Cultural Commission at their <br /> meeting tomorrow night. Once the recommended art work is approved, the <br /> next step will be to determine where to place them. <br /> ITEM 5 — STAFF UPDATES <br /> -Parks for the Future <br /> Director Centeno announced that Julia Bott is currently working on bringing <br /> this proposal back to the San Mateo County voters as soon as ]une 2008 and <br /> has asked for five local people to help with the community education process. <br /> Director Centeno said if any of the Commissioners were interested, they can <br /> contact Julia Bott or herself for more information. <br /> ITEM 6 — ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2008 <br /> M/S Swope/Wright: To nominate Shawn White as chairperson for <br /> 2008. <br /> Vice Chairperson White accepted the nomination. <br /> Motion passed to elect Shawn White as chairperson for 2008. <br /> M/S Wright/7oseph-Hover: To nominate Susan Swope as vice <br /> chairperson for 2008. <br /> Commissioner Swope declined the nomination. <br /> M/S White/7oseph-Hover: To nominate Alex Wright as vice <br /> chairperson. <br /> Commissioner Wright accepted the nomination. <br /> Motion passed to elect Atex Wright as vice chairperson for 2008. <br /> ITEM 7 — SET A DATE FOR WORK PLAN DISCUSSION <br /> The Commissioners decided to use their )anuary 25 Commission meeting for <br /> their 2008 Work Plan Discussion and that the meeting will begin at 7:OOpm. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -There will be no December Commission meeting. The Board and <br /> Commission Event will be held on December 7 at the Main Library. <br />
