M/S Fischer/Distefano: To elect Virginia Ball as vice chairperson of <br /> the Civic Cultural Commission for 1994. <br /> Unanimously passed. <br /> ROUNDTABLE <br /> -Commissioner Moran said she attended the recent meeting of the Art Center <br /> Board and an Open House of the gallery will be held on February 26. <br /> -Commissioner Piulle requested that the letter to Joan Jordan regarding the <br /> Main/Middlefield Development be placed on the March agenda for further <br /> discussion. <br /> -Commissioner Filippi reminded the Commission that the Sequoia Awards <br /> would be held on February 15 at the Hotel Sofitel and cost of the tickets is <br /> $35.00 per person. Paula Uccelli can be contacted to purchase the tickets. <br /> -Commissioner Distefano thanked the Commissioners for their support <br /> during her husband's operation and recovery period. <br /> -Commissioner Fischer reported that she and Commissioner Filippi attended <br /> "Carmina Burana" performed by the El Camino Youth Symphony on January <br /> 22 at the Fox Theater. She complimented the group on their wonderful <br /> performance and the nice buffet that followed. She stated there were 240 <br /> people on stage and the performance was well received by the audience. She <br /> requested that a letter be sent to Conductor Melissa McBride regarding the <br /> excellent conducting job she did. She also thanked Chairperson Redington <br /> for the excellent job he did as chairperson over the past year. <br /> -Commissioner Piulle asked that a thank you letter be sent to Dale Perkins for <br /> his enjoyable presentation this evening. <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission adjourned at 10:15pm <br /> to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Thursday, March 3, 1994 at the Community <br /> Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br />
