is developing their mailing list. Commissioner Piulle suggested the Art <br /> Center approach people who are interested in the arts but do not know about <br /> the Redwood City Art Center. She also suggested approaching companies for <br /> corporate sponsorship. <br /> The following items were taken out of order: <br /> ITEM 6-CHILDREN'S ART CONTEST <br /> Supervisor Hannon reported that all winners have been sent invitations to <br /> the June ceremony and about 50% have confirmed their attendance. She has <br /> ordered the trophies for the winners who will also be presented with <br /> certificates. Chairperson Filippi suggested setting up the Library Comunity <br /> Room to provide for better picture taking for families. <br /> The Commissioners referred back to Item 3 on the agenda: <br /> M/S Piulle/Redington: To have the Cultural Commission become a sponsor <br /> of the Redwood City Art Center at a cost of$100.00. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Filippi-yes; Ball-yes; Distefano-abstain; Fischer-yes; <br /> Moran-abstain; Piulle-yes; Redington-yes. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> The Commissioners referred back to Item 2 on the agenda: <br /> M/S Redington/Distefano: To purchase new Commission badges not to <br /> exceed $200.00. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> M/S Redington/Piulle: To invest in a double-sided banner. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> M/S Ball/Moran: To purchase a double-sided banner 2'x12' at a cost of <br /> $255.00 plus tax. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> M/S Redington/Morgan: To reinstate a summer concert at Redwood Shores <br /> with a noontime event with a cap of $500.00. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> M/S Redington/Distefano: To purchase additional staging at a cost of <br /> $1,800.00. <br /> Motion passed. <br />
