She <br /> stated the entire series was extremely successful and was attended by over 400 <br /> people. She spoke about the Summer Reading Program entitled "Get <br /> Wrapped Up in Reading" which includes the Regular Reading Club, <br /> Listening Club, Parents Club, and Teen Reading Club. She mentioned the <br /> Time Out for Parents (TOPS) which is a babysitting service available for busy <br /> parents on Saturday afternoons from 2:00-4:OOpm. The service is for ages 1-8 <br /> for one half-hour periods and reservations are required. <br /> The following are activities to be held at the Library beginning in June: <br /> june 2 - Teen Program-Video program-4pm <br /> June 7, 9, 14, 16 - Project Read-Tutor Training-6pm <br /> June 15 - Senior Health Lecture-"The Aging Eye"-Dr. Angela Kraft-10:30am <br /> June 17 - Summer Reading Clubs begin-four different types of clubs; <br /> Regular Reading Club (children who already know how to read) <br /> Listening Club (children who do not know how to read) <br /> Parent's Club (for parents who read 2 longer books to their children) <br /> Teen Reading Club (for children going into the 6th grade and up) <br /> Prizes will be available for those who finish the clubs. <br /> June 20 - Monday evenings-Bedtime Storytimes resume for ages 3-8 at 7:30pm <br /> June 21 - Tuesdays-Pre-School Storytimes resume for ages 3-5 at 10:30am <br /> Toddler Storytimes resume for ages 1-3 at 11:30am <br /> June 22 - Children's Program-Circus Soozie-juggling, magic and more <br /> 1:OOpm Schaberg, 4:OOpm Fair Oaks, 7:OOpm at Main Library <br /> June 29 - Children's Program-David Volk-yo yo's, paddleballs and fun; <br /> 1:OOpm Schaberg, 4:OOpm Fair Oaks, 7:OOpm at Main Library <br /> ITEM 2 -ART CONTEST AWARDS CEREMONY <br /> The members of the Civic Cultural Commission along with Mayor Buchan, <br /> Councilwoman LaBerge, and Councilwoman Gasparini presented trophies <br /> and award certificates to the following winners of the Art Contest: <br /> Kindergarten lst place-Clifford Gan Roy Cloud School <br /> 2nd place-Norah Eldredge Orion <br /> First Grade 1st place-Polly Herhold Orion <br /> 2nd place-Katie Lawson St. Pius <br /> Second Grade lst place-Heather Friebertschauser John Gill <br /> 2nd place-Krystl Pierce Hoover <br /> Third Grade lst place-Talor Lee Round Roy Cloud <br /> 2nd place-Heather Finlayson Mt.
