#1 and #3 Lagoon Drive. The concert has been scheduled for Friday, July 8 <br /> from 11:30am-1:30pm and will feature a steel drum band. The representative <br /> from Paragon Point said they might be interested in sharing the costs or co- <br /> sponsoring a future concert. Commissioner Redington asked if large posters <br /> could be produced with our concert series schedule which could be placed in <br /> local business windows. <br /> Commissioner Redington thanked Supervisor Julie Hannon for the great job <br /> she has done in organizing the concert series. <br /> M/S Redington/Moran: To thank staff for their great work. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Supervisor Hannon reported the staging is on order and both new banners <br /> have been received. Chairperson Filippi mentioned he has developed a <br /> questionnaire to be used by prospective bands for the concert series. A draft of <br /> the questionnaire will be sent to the Commissioners for their review and <br /> comments and will be finalized at the July meeting. <br /> ITEM 8-FAMILIES ARTS DAY <br /> Supervisor Hannon announced Families Arts Day will be held Saturday, <br /> July 16 at the Community Activities Building. There will be 11 hands-on art <br /> booths and a variety of entertainment. <br /> ITEM 9-JOE MARCHI UPDATE <br /> Commissioner Moran said she attended the last series of the History of the <br /> American Musical Program held at the Library. She noted that Mr. Marchi <br /> mentioned the speaker series he is planning and the sponsorship of the Civic <br /> Cultural Commission. Superintendent Hartman advised the Commission <br /> that Mr. Marchi has been sent an agreement for the speaker series. <br /> ITEM 10- PUBLIC ART UPDATE <br /> -City Hall <br /> No new information to report. <br /> -Red Morton Center <br /> No new information to report. <br /> -Police Station <br /> Commissioner Fischer reported the committee will be meeting with the artist <br /> next week to select the marble for the sculpture. They also met with Jon <br /> Lynch of the Engineering Department to determine if the site selected for the <br />
