philanthropists have purchased several of the pieces and donated them to the <br /> City. <br /> Chairperson Filippi stated the Cultural Commission wants to be included in <br /> all new City building projects as it is a part of the Commission's <br /> responsibilities according to City ordinance. <br /> -Mural Guidelines <br /> Commissioner Piulle explained that some murals appearing in Redwood City <br /> are "too bright" and need to be more muted in color. She requested that <br /> anyone applying for a permit to place a mural on walls in Redwood City be <br /> asked for an accurate representation of the mural and for staff to look at the <br /> tones in the mural before granting the approval. Director Nelson distributed <br /> a set of mural guidelines developed by Charles Jany for the Commission's <br /> review. Commissioner Piulle asked what process a person goes through to <br /> put up a mural and Director Nelson said she would check on the process and <br /> get back to the Commission. The Commissioners expressed an interest in <br /> being involved in the mural approval process. <br /> ITEM 5-BERT LIEBERT-PIED PIPER THEATER <br /> Supervisor Hannon said she spoke with Mr. Liebert and was advised that the <br /> Pied Piper Theater has had three performances since February and will have <br /> another this summer. Since the See's Candies building will probably be <br /> rented by another group, they are still looking for a permanent site for their <br /> studio. Mr. Liebert will be coming back to the Commission in July or August <br /> to request additional funding and this matter will be placed on the agenda at <br /> that time. <br /> ITEM 6-FOX THEATER <br /> Superintendent Hartman reviewed the funding guidelines and added an <br /> additional guideline that would require groups to have general liability <br /> insurance. Chairperson Filippi suggested that a signature line be placed on <br /> the application form with a statement stipulating that the information <br /> presented is accurate and true to the best of their knowledge. <br /> M/S Redington/Ball: To add the requirement that general liability insurance <br /> be added to the Fox Theater Funding Guidelines. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 7- SUMMER CONCERT SERIES <br /> Supervisor Hannon said Oracle was unable to commit to a concert at their <br /> location so she contacted Redwood Shores Inc. for names of possible sites for a <br /> concert in Redwood Shores. She spoke with a representative from Paragon <br /> Point who was very enthusiastic about a concert at their business location at <br />
