Chairperson Filippi referred back to Item 9: <br /> The Commissioners were given a sample application questionnaire to be sent <br /> out to prospective musical groups for the Concert in the Park Series and <br /> Chairperson Filippi asked for their comments and feedback on the form. <br /> M/S Redington/Moran: To adopt the application questionnaire form. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> The Commissioners reviewed three samples of award certificates which <br /> would be used to recognize sponsors of the concert series. <br /> M/S Piulle/Moran: To accept Sample #2 for use by the Commission. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Chairperson Filippi will bring in revised copy of sample for Commissioner's <br /> final approval. <br /> MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST <br /> -Commissioner Piulle was interviewed by the Redwood City Tribune for an <br /> article about the success of the Cultural Commission. A copy of the article <br /> was given to each of the Commissioners. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Commissioner Redington said he and Commissioners Ball and Moran <br /> attended the presentation ceremony of the historic plaque at the Fox Theater. <br /> He also attended the June 5 Historical Society meeting to discuss using the old <br /> courthouse as a site for the San Mateo County Historical Museum. He also <br /> attended the Miss Redwood City Pageant on July 2. <br /> -Commissioners Distefano announced the "Climate Best Fest" will be held on <br /> September 17 and 18 and noted the Commission may be receiving a grant <br /> request to provide music for the event. <br /> -Commissioner Piulle's picture was in the newspaper showing her receiving <br /> an award from the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for designing the <br /> "Meals on Wheels" logo. <br /> -Commissioner Moran said the Art Center will be holding an art show on <br /> September 17 in conjunction with the "Climate Best Fest". The Art Center is <br /> currently looking at two new relocation sites and they are trying to earn <br /> money for moving expenses. She also noted receiving Music in the Schools <br /> evaluations from the San Mateo County Arts Council. <br /> -Commissioner Ball thanked Chairperson Filippi for his efforts in obtaining <br /> the vehicles for the Commission to ride in for the 4th of July Parade and for <br />
