� <br /> �. �.. <br /> ITEM 4-CARRINGTON HALL MEETING <br /> The Carrington Hall sub-committee consisting of Chairperson Filippi and <br /> Commissioners Fischer and Redington have had several meetings with <br /> representatives from DES and the High School District. The proposed agenda <br /> would include presentations from the Cultural Commission, Sequoia Union <br /> High School District, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee and DES in <br /> order to give a broad vision of Carrington Hall. A handout will be developed <br /> for the audience consisting of elevations of the building, a brief summary of <br /> its historic background, and a copy of an article about the facility written by <br /> Jean Cloud which appeared in the Redwood City Almanac. The task force <br /> will be introduced to the group. <br /> The following is the tentative agenda of the meeting to be held at 7:30pm on <br /> Wednesday, October 12, 1994 at Carrington Hall: <br /> 1.) Presentation by Cultural Commission about what has occurred over the <br /> last 3 months (length-4 minutes); announce Committee members; outline <br /> City Council meeting guidelines <br /> 2.) Presentation by Historic Resources Advisory Committee (5 minutes) <br /> 3.) Presentation by Sequoia Union High School District by Don Gielow or <br /> Merle Fruehling (5 minutes) <br /> 4.) Presentation by Sequoia Alumni Association (5 minutes) <br /> 5.) Presentation by DES Architects (10 minutes) <br /> 6.) Open Forum Meeting <br /> -Brainstorming <br /> -Concerns of the Public <br /> -How do we make this happen? <br /> -Management of building <br /> -Miscellaneous <br /> 7.) Decision about future meetings <br /> It was confirmed that City staff would be taking minutes for the October 12 <br /> meeting. Suggestions were made regarding establishing ground rules on <br /> speaking and luniting time to 3 minutes per person. It was mentioned that a <br /> Sequoia High School student has requested to be part of the committee. <br /> M/S Moran/Redington: To accept the proposed agenda for the meeting. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> The physical set-up of the meeting will have the Commission set up in the <br /> orchestra pit at Carrington Hall. Sequoia High School will furnish two <br /> microphones, a table for City staff, a press table and a guest speaker table. <br /> Flip charts will also be provided by the high school. <br /> M/S Moran/Redington: To accept the set-up of ineeting room. <br /> Motion passed. <br />
