Mr. Marchi reviewed the list of speakers for the <br /> series with the Commissioners. Cost of the tickets will be $45.00 for the entire <br /> 6-part series; $35.00 for seniors/students. Individual ticket prices will be $9.00 <br /> each; $7.00 for seniors/students. Mr. lViarchi said the Board is ready #o send- -- <br /> out the mailing to the people on their mailing list. Publicity will be done by <br /> Barbara Bladen. Commissioner Piulle volunteered to help design the flyer <br /> for the series. Ruth Nagler will be chair of the speaker series and <br /> Commissioner Ball also volunteered to assist. Don Saye offered to have the <br /> Merchants Group handle the sale of refreshments during the intermission of <br /> each date of the speaker series. <br /> Mr. Marchi's original grant request was for $3,025.00 and $170.00 has been <br /> granted so far. Mr. Marchi said his original request included $250.00 in travel <br /> costs which are no longer needed, bringing the grant request to $2,630. <br /> M/S Fischer/Redington: To grant Joe Marchi $500.00 from the John Raitt <br /> fund and $2,130 from the Commission's regular <br /> budget. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 7-CARRINGTON HALL MEETING <br /> Supervisor Hannon reported it will cost approximately $110.00 in printing <br /> costs for the handouts for the Carrington Hall Public Meeting. <br /> M/S Redington/Fischer: To cover printing costs not to exceed $150.00 for <br /> the Carrington Hall handouts. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Chairperson Filippi said he confirmed with the School District that they will <br /> do the physical set up for the meeting and will provide two students to do the <br /> writing for the event. Several students will also be provided to facilitate the <br /> speakers and help with logistics. Each speaker will be allowed to speak 2 to 3 <br /> minutes. The Community Policing Officer for the Sequoia High School <br /> campus will be notified of the event. Flyers advertising the meeting were <br /> handed out to businesses in the downtown area by Don Saye and were placed <br /> at the Library by Commissioner Piulle. The Commissioners asked that a <br /> thank you letter be sent to Comnussioner Ball's daughter for developing the <br /> flyer. <br /> ITEM 8 -FOX THEATER FUNDING <br /> The Commissioners discussed the letter received from Peter Bliznick <br /> regarding a surcharge being implemented January 1, 1995 by the Peninsula � <br /> Center Stage to users of the Fox Theater. Mr. Bliznick indicated that previous <br /> grant applicants were notified of this change. It was the consensus of the <br />
