ITEM 12-ART CENTER UPDATE <br /> The Art Center will be meeting next Tuesday night and will be working on <br /> finalizing the plans for moving to their new building. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -An article appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle regarding Elena Mori's <br /> grant from the Cultural Commission. <br /> -The Russian Festival will be held February 3-5 in San Francisco at the <br /> Russian Center, 2450 Sutter Street. Festival has performing groups and <br /> dancers, vodka tasting and many homemade food items. Paintings done by <br /> Commissioner Piulle will be on display. Cost is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for <br /> seniors and children. <br /> All Commissioners are going to try to attend the Kennedy Drama production <br /> on March 3 at 7:15pm. <br /> The City will be sponsoring a training for members of Boards and <br /> Commissions on April 22. More details will be forthcoming on the event. <br /> ITEM 13-ELECTION OF 1995 OFFICERS <br /> M/S Filippi/Distefano: To nominate Oliver Redington as chairperson of the <br /> Cultural Commission for 1995. <br /> M/S Moran/ : To nominate Virginia Ball for chairperson. <br /> Commissioner Ball declined the nomination. <br /> Motion passed. Oliver Redington was unanimously elected chairperson. <br /> M/S Fischer/Moran: To nominate Tamara Piulle as vice chairperson <br /> of the Cultural Commission for 1995. <br /> Motion passed. Tamara Piulle was unanimously elected vice chairperson. <br /> Don Saye offered to help promote the children's art contest in his store. <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 10:03pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Thursday, March 2, 1995 to be held at <br /> the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
