Civic Cultural Commission Page 7 Minutes of June 6, 1996 would like to see the program implemented in every school in the County. Commissioner Filippi also attended the "Kitty Cat Picnic" at John Gill School. -Commissioner Saye announced he attended a mural dedication at Hoover School on May 24. He also attended the wonderful performance of the "King & I" at Kennedy School and did a write up for the newspaper but unfortunately the newspaper did not print his article. He attended an excellent presentation on the Legion of Honor given by Professor Denise Erickson on June 5 at the Main Library. -Chairperson Piulle attended :he May 11 workshop presented by ArtShare. She announced Art Share is inviting people and organizations to join their group and asked that this be placed on the July agenda. She also attended the Salute to Older American Artists and Poets sponsored by the San Mateo Commission on Aging. M/S Filippi/Redington: To extend the meeting from 9:30pm to 9:50pm. Motion passed. ANNOUNCEMENTS It was noted that the July Commission meeting is scheduled for July 4 and the Commissioners discussed moving it to another date. M/S Filippi/Distefano: To move the July Commission meeting from July 4 to July 11. Motion passed. The Commissioners discussed items for the July agenda which include: Focus 96/97; Summer Concert Update; Rosine Bena grant request; Mural Guidelines; Christmas Concert; Budget Update; Public Relations Mailing to groups; Workshop Priority List; ArtShare; Grant Guideline Review. The regular meeting of the Civic C��ltural Comnussion was adjourned at 9:50pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Thursday,July 11, 1996 to be held at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California.
