Civic Cultural Commission pa8e 2 <br /> Minutes of August 1, 1996 <br /> Chairperson Piulle asked that a letter be sent to the Art Center with the <br /> results of their grant request and the need to have had a representative from <br /> the Art Center at the Commission meeting to answer any questions which <br /> the Commissioners had. <br /> ITEM 2-FOCUS 96-97 <br /> The Commissioners reviewed the results of the Commission Priority List and <br /> discussed Items 1 and 2 in detail. They all agreed that both items had been <br /> completed and decided to defer further review of this matte= to the September <br /> meeting. Commissioner Ball noted she is working on Item 6 with Joe Marchi <br /> and will continue to report her progress to the Commission. Chairperson <br /> Piulle requested that any Commissioner who will be speaking on behalf of <br /> the Commission to please notify her in advance. <br /> ITEM 3-COUNCIL WORKPLAN/ACCOMPLISHMENTS 95-96/GOALS 96-97 <br /> The Commissioners reviewed the draft memo to the Mayor and City Council <br /> and made several changes. <br /> M/S Filippi/Ball: To accept the 95-96 Accomplishments and 96-97 Workplan <br /> with the changes indicated. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 4-REVIEW OF GRANT GUIDELINES <br /> -Changes <br /> The Commissioners made several changes to the grant guidelines and grant <br /> application. <br /> M/S Filippi/Redington: To revise the grant application in the following <br /> manner: (1) The introductory sentence should read "Please <br /> complete the following in detail."; and (2) to limit an applicant's <br /> response to 1/2 page per question. <br /> Motion was withdrawn. <br /> M/S Filippi/Redington: To revise the grant application so that the <br /> introductory sentence will read: "Please complete the following <br /> in detail.". <br /> Motion passed. <br />
