Civic Cultural Commission page 7 <br /> Minutes of January 2, 1997 <br /> ITEM 9-EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE <br /> PAST 30 DAYS <br /> -Commissioner Distefano commented on the beautiful Bethlehem A.D. <br /> program and the Toy & Food Drive sponsored by the Police and Fire <br /> Departments and the Fair Oaks Community Center. <br /> -Commissioner Saye spoke about the Fox Theater production of "Camelot" <br /> and felt it was the best show of the season. <br /> -Cominissioner Ball commented on the beautiful Christmas decorations on <br /> Redwood City homes. <br /> -Commissioner Redington attended the Open House at the Art Center. <br /> -Chairperson Piulle also attended the "Camelot" performance and the Art <br /> Center opening. She attended the marketing analysis meeting for the new <br /> Red Morton Center. She mentioned she contacted Mayor Hartnett to ask him <br /> if the lights could remain on the trees along Broadway since it looks very <br /> inviting to patrons in the downtown area. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Commissioner Filippi announced Pete and Paula Uccelli will be the <br /> executive producers for the Peninsula Symphony concert on January 17-18 <br /> at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center. He also announced that January is <br /> Percussion Month at john Gill School. <br /> -Councilwoman LaBerge announced a reception will be held from <br /> 3:00-S:OOpm on january 19 at the College of San Mateo for the unveiling of the <br /> new book on the history of the college and invited all to attend. <br /> Chairperson Piulle asked that this evening's meeting be adjourned in the <br /> memory of Diane Pellizari, who will sorely be missed by the community. <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned in the <br /> memory of Diane Pellizari at 10:20pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on <br /> Thursday, February 6, 1997 to be held at the Community Activities Building, <br /> 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br />
