Civic Cu/tural Commission Page 4 <br /> Minutes of Novembe�6, 1997 <br /> ITEM 5 — FOCUS 97-98 <br /> -Board & Commission Handbook <br /> Superintendent Centeno responded to comments and questions regarding the <br /> code of ethics section of the handbook. <br /> ITEM 6 — COMMISSION PROCEDURE ISSUES <br /> -Decision on election of Vice Chairperson <br /> M/S Piulle/Saye: To nominate Oliver Redington as vice chairperson. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> -Decision to have a December meeting <br /> The Commission decided to hold its regular meeting in December on the first <br /> Thursday of the month. <br /> -Re-scheduling of January meeting date <br /> M/S Redington/Saye: To move the January Commission meeting to the <br /> second Tuesday in January (January 8, 19981. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 7 — EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> Commissioner Piulle reported that the City Clerk of Hayward had called to <br /> get information on items included in the time capsule for their new City Hall. <br /> Chairperson Ball announced she was a judge for the Port of Redwood City art <br /> contest, with a theme of historic ships. She commended the Port for <br /> attracting over 500 pieces of art work and noted the Franklin Delano <br /> Roosevelt's grandson was one of the judges. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 9:20pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Thursday, December 4, 1997 at the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
