Civic Cultural Commission Page 5 <br /> Minutes of June 4, 1998 <br /> ITEM 5 — EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> -Commissioner Saye attended revival of Sunflower Festival; proceeds of <br /> event went to Carrington Hall Restoration Fund -$7,500 <br /> -Commissioner Redington attended the Memorial Day ceremony at Union <br /> Cemetery, Sunflower Festival, and RESCUE program. <br /> -Commissioner Distefano attended the Vintage Musical Theater "Songs of <br /> Brian" at Carrington Hall; disappointing attendance. <br /> -Commissioner Britschgi attended the groundbreaking for the new Historical <br /> Museum and the Vintage Musical Theater performance; she recently went on <br /> a trip to Italy and mentioned the musical concerts held in churches. <br /> -Chairperson Ball attended the RESCUE event at Foresters Hall; the <br /> Soroptomists 50t'' Anniversary; Showboat; hearing on ferryboats next year <br /> trial to Port of Redwood City. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> There were no announcements. <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 9:15pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Thursday, July 2, 1998 at the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
