The Commissioners
discussed the fact that the 52,499.00 grant to Vintage Music Theater was
for performances to be held in Redwood City. Mr. McKenna, who was out
of town and will not return until January 21, explained in his letter that the
only other venue available on March 20 is the San Mateo Center for
Performing Arts.
M/S Dale/Pierce: To strongly suggest that Vintage Music Theater consider
the Veterans Memorial Senior Center (even though less
people would be served) but that funding would remain as
it is regardless of the venue.
The Commissioners discussed what their role should be in finding another
venue for Vintage Music Theater's performance in Redwood City.
Motion was withdrawn by maker and seconder.
MIS Pierce/Saye: In order to meet their grant contract, a representative from
the Vintage Music Theater must contact the Veterans
Memorial Senior Center and Carrington Hall for available
dates. If neither venue works, to come to the February
Commission meeting to discuss further.
Motion passed unanimously.
