Suggestions included: public sculpture, <br /> collaboration with school on murals, and find a way to place public art in <br /> merchants windows. <br /> -Planning <br /> Commissioners Pierce and Schenone met and have developed a questionnaire <br /> to collect information from other cities about their public art and performing <br /> arts programs; this information will be placed on a spread sheet and shared <br /> with everyone when completed. <br /> -Budget <br /> Commissioner Del Carlo will set up a meeting with this sub-committee. <br /> -Children and Schools <br /> Commissioner Schenone will set up a meeting with this sub-committee. <br /> ITEM 6 — EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> -Commissioner Del Carlo attended "Secret Garden" at Fox and also saw <br /> performance of Woodside High Jazz Band at a company party. <br /> -Commissioner Pierce attended "Secret Garden" and choir/music performance <br /> at Woodside High School. <br /> -Commissioner Britschgi also attended "Secret Garden". <br /> -Commissioner Dale attended "Secret Garden", Mini-Nutcracker, "Fiddler on <br /> the Roof", and a play/workshop regarding methods for dealing with violence <br /> sponsored by Kaiser for students of grades 4-6 and their parents. <br /> -Commissioner Schenone attended the North Star Holiday Show and said <br /> they received many compliments from the public on the performance. <br /> -Commissioner Saye also attended "Secret Garden". <br /> -Chairperson Redington attended the annual Boards and Commissions Dinner <br /> and Bethlehem A.D. <br /> Items for Feb�uary agenda: <br /> -Sending a letter to the Senior Affairs Commission regarding meeting with <br /> them to develop senior cultural events. <br /> -Petra Reed proposed a billboard at City Hall to advertise current and future <br /> events and projects such as the ex�ension of Seaport Boulevard. She offered <br /> to write up her proposal for Commissioner Britschgi to share with Director <br /> Deborah Nelson. <br /> -Petra Reed's letter for further discussion. <br />
