Civic Cultura/Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of May 6, 1999 <br /> Public Art — Britschgi <br /> No report. <br /> Budget — Del Carlo <br /> No report. <br /> ITEM 2 -ACTION ON FUNDING REQUESTS <br /> -Taft Mano a Mano Festival <br /> M/S Saye/Dale: To grant 5900.00 to the Taft Mano-a-Mano Festival. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> -Sequoia Art Group Sale <br /> M/S Date/Saye: To grant $250.00 to the Sequoia Art Group. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> ITEM 4 — EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> -Superintendent Centeno noted that Commissioner Pierce was absent from <br /> the meeting due to a trip to Paris; Commissioner Britschgi is in Albuquerque; <br /> and Commissioner Schenone is opening in a play at Canada College this <br /> evening. <br /> -Commissioner Del Carlo reported on Jukebox Friday Night, a benefit for the <br /> Redwood City Educational Foundation, and a benefit musical performance at <br /> St. Paul's Church in San Francisco. <br /> -Commissioner Saye reported on his attendance at the Flint Center's Fiddler <br /> on the Roof and the Sequoia High School Production of Much Ado About <br /> Nothing at Carrington Hall. <br /> -Commissioner Dale reported on his attendance at Jukebox Friday and <br /> Redwood City International's Cinco de Mayo festivities. <br /> -Chairperson Redington reported on his attendance at Jukebox Friday and <br /> comptimented the foundation for an excellent event. <br /> Request for ttems for Future Agendas <br /> Tis the Season discussion on July Agenda <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> There were no announcements. <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 8:25pm to be reconvened at 7:OOpm on Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at City <br /> Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br />
