Civic Cultvra/ Commission Page 4 � � s <br /> Minutes of July 6, 2000 <br /> report information from the grant recipients was also included for the <br /> Commission's review. <br /> -Children and Schools, Art & Poetry Contest Review ONeeting <br /> Commissioner Schenone reported that she met with Commissioner Dale and <br /> Chairperson Redington on June 13 to discuss the 2000 Art Contest. A written <br /> report of the recommendations will be prepared for discussion at the August <br /> Commission meeting. <br /> -CCC 5ponsored Events, Summer Concert Updates <br /> The Commissioners were reminded that they each signed up for <br /> "introduction" responsibifities a certain concerts; a copy of the sign-up list will <br /> be sent in the next Commission packet as a reminder. <br /> -Public Art <br /> There was no report from the sub-committee regarding a suitable location of <br /> the Ledesma paintings. Chairperson Redington reported that a draft of the <br /> Public Art ordinance has been prepared by Community Devefopment <br /> Department staff and it is in the review process. <br /> -Strategic Pian Update <br /> Commissioner Dei Cario reported that proposals have been requested from <br /> consultants to help facifitate organizational meetings to help develop our <br /> plan. The next meeting of the committee will be either )uly 12 or 26. <br /> %TEM 3 - EVALU�TION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD OVER THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> Schenone - attended "Fully Committed" at Theater on the Square; attended <br /> City Center concert last Friday <br /> Del Carlo - attended the concert last night and the 4�' of July Parade <br /> Saye - will be attending a theatrical performance at Canada College next <br /> Thursday <br /> Redington - attended the concert last night; worked a booth at the 4�' of)uly <br /> festival for the Optimist Club <br /> Items for August Agenda: <br /> -John Anagnostou, StafFord Park, recommendations from the sub-committee <br /> on the art and poetry contest; status of Stanford University digital art project <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> -Chairperson Redington again requested the Commissioners to please calf <br /> himself or staff if you will not be able to attend a Commission meeting or will <br /> be late to the meeting. <br />
