Civic Cu/tural Commission Page 4 ' <br /> Minutes of October 4, 2001 " <br /> M/S Douglas/Del Carlo: To hang the Ledesma art pieces at City Hall <br /> Gallery in 7anuary 2002 for a six month period. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Chairperson Britschgi will speak to the Sequoia Art Group about using the <br /> gallery for this specific period of time and to see if the Art Group would hang <br /> all the Ledesma's for the Commission. <br /> M/S Kushin/Ball: To have the four Ledesma art pieces framed and <br /> matted up to a cost not to exceed $750.00 and the funds will be paid <br /> from the Cultural Commission Sponsored Events category. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Commissioner Kushin volunteered to be the Commission representative on <br /> the 2002 Art ]ury for the Main Library. The art jury meeting will be held on <br /> November 16 at 7:OOpm at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> ITEM 3 - EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD OVER THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> The Commissioners attended the following cultural events: <br /> Ball - Camelot, Italian festival in Jack London Square <br /> Kushin - Redwood Symphony concert, rehearsal of West Bay Opera Group, <br /> going to Camelot this weekend <br /> Douglas - entertainment at Rubber Ducky Festival <br /> Britschgi - Kings Mountain Art Fair, Lafayette Art Fair <br /> Del Carlo - was a participant in Rubber Ducky Race, going to Camelot on <br /> Sunday <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Events coming up: <br /> -Peninsula Social Club event this weekend at Old Courthouse <br /> -Olive Festival at Canada College on October 6 and 7 <br /> -Scotty McLellan will be guest speaker at St. Bede's Church (Sand Hill Road, <br /> Menlo Park) on October 17 at 7:30am <br /> The regular meeting of the Civic Cultural Commission was adjourned at <br /> 8:SOpm to be reconvened at 6:OOpm on Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the <br /> Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br /> California. <br />
