� Civic Cu/tural Commission Page 3 <br /> Minutes of December 6, 2001 <br /> Commission Strategic Plan Follow-up - Director Centeno reported that <br /> she is currently updating the Cultural Element based on the <br /> recommendations made at our Strategic Planning meeting. The document <br /> will be ready at the ]anuary meeting. <br /> -Public Art, Hanging of Ledesma Art Work <br /> Chairperson Britschgi reported that Bob Parkhurst of the Sequoia Art Group <br /> stated they would be happy to assist in the hanging of the Ledesma art work <br /> at the City Hall Gallery. The art work will hang at that location for three <br /> months. Chairperson Britschgi will pick up the four pieces and have them re- <br /> framed. <br /> The Commissioners asked about the proposed mural on the water tank and <br /> Director Centeno said the Public Works Director was not opposed to the <br /> project. The Commission needs to form a sub-committee to move forward <br /> on this project. <br /> ITEM 3 - ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2002 <br /> M/S Douglas/Ball: To nominate Warren Dale as chairperson of the <br /> Civic Cultural Commission for 2002. <br /> There were no other nominations made and the nominations were closed. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> M/S Ball/Soultanian: To nominate Brian Douglas as vice chairperson <br /> of the Civic Cultural Commission for 2002. <br /> There were no other nominations made and the nominations were closed. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> ITEM 4 -EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD OVER THE PAST <br /> 30 DAYS <br /> The Commissioners reported on events they attended the past 30 days: <br /> Soultanian - 'Tis the Season Event <br /> Ball - `Tis the Season Event, will be attending the Nutcracker at the Fox this <br /> weekend <br /> Douglas - visited the Sydney Opera House and a ballet performance while in <br /> Sydney, Australia <br /> Britschgi - Library Foundation event, Art Center reception which was hosted <br /> by the Peninsula Hills Women's Club, grandson's debut in a play <br />
