This <br />request was denied by Council on basis that permit to repair building previously <br />made had expired and in their opinion owner had not cooperated with Council in start- <br />ing reconstruction during the period previously granted. Motion was made by Council- <br />man Granger, seconded by Councilman Swift and carried that extension of time be denied. <br />After further discussion it was moved by Councilman Granger to institute condemnation <br />proceedings and that building be posted, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br />PUBLIO HEARING ON FEBRUARY 9-cn, HELD BY PLANNING COMMISS.iON ON PROPOSED ZONING PLAN, a <br />letter was read from Planning Commission requesting presence of Council Members at <br />this meeting to help expedite adoption of zoning -plan and Mayor Hilton urged that all <br />members attend this meeting if possible. <br />APPRAISAL OF ALL PROPE91:1 RE ANNr;XA•1iUN Off' FRIENDLY ACRES WAS PROPOSED IN LETTER FROM <br />J. M. CLEMINSHAW & ASSOUTATES FOR THE SUM OF $2200.00, Mr. Cleminshaw having first <br />discussed same with Mr. Rolison, who suggested he direct his letter to the Council <br />for their consideration. Approximately 450 improved properties and an equal number <br />of unimproved properties would have to be appraised. After a general discussion <br />xr. Brophy was to report back at the next meeting whether the City could handle this <br />work and keep wicnin the same figure, get the tax rolls ready in time for the March <br />assessment, which was -the desire and intention of the Council, or if in his opinion <br />the work should be given to Cleminshaw. Mr. Brophy thought if Cleminshaw was given <br />the contract he might be induced to reduce the figure some. It was so moved "by <br />councilman- Werner, seconded -by Councilman Swift, and carried, that Mr. Brophy <br />report back at next meeting. <br />FIRE AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT OF THE LATE F110E Cl-ilEF M. E. Ryan having been used for ten years <br />without charge was offered to the City by the Ryan family for'the sum of $1b5. <br />Letter from Fire Ghief Lodi to City Manager Holison recommends the purchase. This <br />equipment is skill in use and a previous letter from Chief Lodi was submitted on <br />June 12, 194b to city Manager Blom offering same for sale to City but equipment had <br />never been purchased. Councilman Britschgi was of the opinion there was an under- <br />standing some time ago that privately owned equipment being used by the City was to <br />have been purchased by the City. Councilman Werder tnougnc the desk and adding <br />machine alone would be worth the price asked. Motion of Councilman Werder that City <br />purchase equipment at price quoted, seconded by Councilman Swift, was carried. <br />B iD8 i3OR SEWAGE TREAT1 ENi' PLANT PRUPObhD 61 1944 bUND ISSUE should be received at earliest <br />possible date according to letter received from City Manager Rolison recommending <br />That authority be granted to advertise for bids to be opened March 19th, at 3:00 P. M. <br />and suggesting that Council have a special meeting Friday, March 12th to consider <br />said proposals. Mr. Rolison further commented that should it develop there were <br />insufficient funds they might want to get something on the ballot before election <br />and this would provide time to do so. Councilman Granger moved that City Manager <br />be authorized to advertise for bids at dates specified, seconded by Councilman <br />nolmquist, and carried. <br />IMPROVEMENTS IN COMMUNI`rY PARK IN T.HE AMOUNT OF $7484.bO as requested by Recreation <br />Commission were put forth in a letter from City Manager Rolison recommending that <br />
