<br />it was recommended that no alteration be made to these structures, unless the whole
<br />building was made to conform to the Fire Zone No. 1, but that buildings should be
<br />demolished. It was moved by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers
<br />that the owner be notified to appear at the meeting of August 2nd and show cause,
<br />if any, why buildings should not be abated, and carried.

<br />Burlingame, Building known as the Old Archer Kincaid Residence. After inspection
<br />by the Health, Fire and Building Inspectors, it was recommended that no alterations
<br />be made unless they conform to Fire Zone No. 1, but that they be demolished. It was
<br />moved by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers that the owners be
<br />notified to appear at the August 2nd meeting and show cause why the buildings should
<br />not be abated, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS, the sheds at rear of 2300 to 2376 Broadway, Draper, Wilson &
<br />McDonald, 257 Primrose Avenue, Burlingame, sheds in back of See's Candy Store. After
<br />Inspection by Health, Fire and Building Inspectors it was recommended that no alter-
<br />ations be allowed unless all structures be made to conform to the Fire Zone No. 1,
<br />but that sheds be razed as they were a definite fire hazard. It was moved by Coun-
<br />cilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers that owners be notified to appear
<br />at the August 2nd meeting and show cause, if any, why building should not be abated,
<br />and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS, 47 Hazel Street, Lot 8, Block F, Boyd & Kent Addition, City of
<br />Redwood City. After inspection by Fire and Building Inspectors it was recommended
<br />that this building be torn down as an example of good faith by the City. It was moved
<br />by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi that the proper authorities
<br />investigate and report further on this, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS. Army Surplus Store, on Broadway. City Attorney Currie stated he
<br />had prepared and would serve thirty days notice to the tenant the following day,
<br />July 20th.
<br />MR. L. E. WERDER, REPRESENTING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, APPLIED FOR A PERMIT TO
<br />construct, maintain and operate an industrial spur track across Charter Street for
<br />the purpose of serving property of Territo's Inc., and presented map attached to
<br />application showing where the track would cross Charter Street, the track to be
<br />laid with the present level, with the present street grade, the permit to be revo-
<br />cable at the will and pleasure of the Council. If the permit is granted the request
<br />asked for thirteen copies, two certified, to be sent to the office of the Land
