WERDER
Mayor of the City of Redwood City
I hereby approve the foregoing resolu-
tion this 17th day of August, 1948.
W. M. WERDER
Mayor of the City of Redwood City
ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEW SECTION "ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT" as an amend-
ment to the Personnel Ordinance was placed on the agenda as it had not been
published.
SEWER RENTAL RATES. City Manager submitted tentative rate schedules for the Council's
consideration and review, rates to be effective on September lst. Each Councilman
received a copy prior to taping final action on this. If approved, rates should
be subject to revision and modification following a reasonable period of practical
application after the Sewage Treatment_Plant had been in actual operation, at which
time such items as pumping costs and quantities treated will have been determined.
A flat rate was proposed for dwellings and an attemp had been made to fix the rate
of larger users on a basis of the quantities treated. It was intended that in
this way each individual would pay his proportionate cost of interest and redemp-
tion and maintenance and operation charges.
SEWER EASEMENTS. City Attorney stated that deeds had been prepared and delivered to
owners of property involved and were to be placed in hands of title company in
accordance with agreement. They will be delivered to the City when conditions have
been met. In regards to the Pulgas line sewer easement, City Attorney Currie
suggested that someone contact the owners to obtain deeds. Mr. Heiner had done
some of the work, however, some expenditure of money would be involved in having
the work done and on motion of Councilman Granger, authority was granted to take
steps to obtain these easements, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried.
