0 <br />RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS WITHOUT COMPLIANCE WITH INVESTI- 4 9 <br />GATION ACT. <br />JOHNSON STREET 1945 - 4. <br />WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1945, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br />adopted a Resolution of Preliminary Determination to make public improvements on <br />Johnson street, being Resolution No. 598 of said Council, to construct certain public <br />improvements more particularly described therein, and did fix therein this date as <br />the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show <br />cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that the <br />public convenience and necessity require the improvement described and referred to in <br />said resolution without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limi- <br />tations and Majority Protest Act of 1931; and <br />WHEREAS notice of the adoption of said resolution and of said time and place of <br />hearing was given by the City Clerk by publication and posting for the time and in <br />the manner provided in said resolution and Ordinance No. 515 of the City of Redwood <br />City, as appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS no persons objecting to the undertaking of said proceedings without <br />first complying with the provisions of said Special Assessment, Investigation, Limi- <br />tation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with <br />the City Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by persons interested, <br />owning or having an interest in real property within the proposed assessment district, <br />bearing their signatures, a description of their property, and a statement of the <br />nature of their interest therein; and <br />WHEREAS all persons have been given an opportunity to be and were fully heard, <br />and said Council has duly considered any and all objections and protests made, and <br />the said proposed improvements and the public convenience and necessity for making <br />the same; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City, as follows: <br />1. That public convenience and necessity require the improvements described <br />in said Resolution No. 598- <br />2. That any and all objections and protests made pursuant to said resolution <br />be, and the same are, hereby overruled and denied. <br />3. That the improvements described in said resolution be made under and <br />pursuant to the provision of the Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance <br />,.,. (Ordinance No. 333, adopted March 14, 1932, as amended), and that the Special <br />Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not <br />apply to said proceedings. <br />I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of Resolution No. 605, <br />adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the loth day of <br />August, 1948, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Redwood City, California. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have unto set my hand and the seal of said City this <br />17th day of August, 1948. <br />RALPH S. Resolution authorizing sale of Lots <br />18, 19 and 20, Block 2, Resub of Lot 25, W -W. o M. Sub., for $600 was offered and <br />-moved for adoption by Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried <br />on roll call. Councilman Morgan noted absent. <br />r�- <br />RE-SOLUTION No. 606 <br />AUTHORIZING SALE OF PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR <br />DELINQUENT TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND DIRECTING <br />PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SALE. <br />WHEREAS the City of Redwood City has heretofore become the owner of the real <br />property hereinafter described, which was sold for taxes and delinquent improve- <br />ment assessments, and deeds conveying all the said real property to said City have <br />been recorded, and this City Council deems it advisable that said property be sold <br />in the manner hereinafter stated; and <br />WHEREAS said City Council has determined that the minimum for which said par- <br />cel of land shall be sold is the amount set opposite the description of said par- <br />cel hereinafter described; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that <br />the real property hereinafter described be sold for at least the minimum amount <br />set opposite the description of said parcel; that said property be sold at private <br />sale by the City Collector on and after the 13th day of September, 1945; in the <br />office of the City Collector in the City Hall, in this City, upon written bids or <br />offers, each of which shall be accompanied by a deposit of at least ten per cent <br />(100) of the offered purchase price, subject to the right of said City to reject <br />
