The s_)ecial election held_ on December 30th, 1947 <br />for the annexation of north Kensington Saiitre was canvassed by the Council frith the <br />following result: <br />PROPOSITION No. 1. "Shall I•iorth Kensington Mauare <br />be annexed to txie City of Redwood <br />City ally tie property therein, YES 22 <br />after suc-J annexation, be subject <br />_ to taxation equally with the NO 29 <br />property within the said City of <br />Redwood City?" <br />Councilman I'rerder moved that Council adopt a resolution declaring results of special <br />election re -annexation of -.ort1-i Kensington Square and determining that the majority <br />of Vie voters disapproved annexation. Motion was seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br />and carried on roll call vote. Councilman Britschgi si.iggested a study of contract <br />ti -le City holds wit'_I North Kensington Square Sewer District and that a report be given <br />at the January 19th meeting of the Council. Councilman Granger, seconded by Council- <br />man iicv lty, moved ordinance approving the annexation of South Kensington Seuare to <br />t;1e City of Redwood City be introduced.
