39 8 bonds and coupons to show on their face that the same bear interest at the rate(s) <br />aforesaid. <br />RESOLVED, further, that this Resolution shall take effect from and after its <br />passage and approval. <br />PASSED and adopted this 15th day of April, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MCNULTY, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: SWIFT. <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />CITY MANAGER ROLISON DISCUSSED PROPOSED PROGRAM OF SEWER RENTALS suggesting that the <br />matter be studied between now and the adoption of the 1948_49 budget. Councilman <br />Granger stated that he would not consider sewer rentals to be used for any other <br />purpose that to retire the amount of bonds necessary to build the treatment plant. <br />CITY ATTORNEY DISCUSSED THE MATTER OF SITE for the sewage plant stating that we would have <br />to decide on amount of land required. On City Manager's recommendation Councilman <br />Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, that the City will require 13.59 <br />acres. Motion carried. <br />REGARDING THE PRICE FOR THE PROPERTY it was decided that the City Manager and City <br />Attorney would meet with the owners and attempt to work out a compromise price <br />per acre and report back to the Council. Council discussed the matter of trans- <br />fering the sum of money from General Fund to the 1944 City Plan Bond funds to <br />carry on until the new bonds are delivered and money received therefor. It was <br />decided that City Auditor would prepare a Resolution for consideration of the <br />Council Monday evening, April 19th at 9:00 P.M. <br />Meeting adjourned 5:15 P.M. <br />LPH S DODG ' <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />April 19th, 1948 <br />90.00 P. W. <br />Hilton and City Clerk Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. <br />Rolison, City Engineer Glenn Jain, City Attorney C. B. Currie, Police Chief C. L. <br />Collins, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, Assistant Inspector <br />Stephen Kreiss, Assistant Engineer H-. L. Winter, Administrative Assisstant Richard D. <br />Miller, City -Collector Paul E. Perrin, and Assessor John J.
